Job Description

We are seeking a Topic Leader for Kyndryl Offensive Security with a specialized focus on Mainframe and Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This role serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert within a global team dedicated to securing and testing complex computing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Communication: Serve as the single point of contact for all matters related to Mainframe and Cloud Security within the global offensive security team. Communicate effectively with team members across different regions, providing guidance and support on complex security issues and attack vectors.

  • Standard and Procedure Development: Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive standards and procedures for securing Mainframe and Cloud environments. Ensure these documents are up-to-date with the latest in security practices and technologies.

  • Vulnerability Research: Proactively identify and research new vulnerabilities in Mainframe and Cloud platforms. Collaborate with both internal teams and external security communities to share findings and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Conference Speaking: Represent Kyndryl at various security conferences as a thought leader. Present findings, share knowledge, and engage with the security community on topics related to Mainframe and Cloud security.

  • Training and Mentoring: Lead and facilitate training sessions for the internal offensive security team to enhance their skills and knowledge in Mainframe and Cloud security. Act as a mentor for team members, assisting with the development of their technical and tactical abilities.

  • Consultation: Provide expert advice and support to team members on complex attack strategies and security challenges. Assist in the planning and execution of simulated attacks to test and strengthen our defenses.

Who You Are

Qualifications

  • Required Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), OSEP (Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester), OSED (Offensive Security Exploit Developer).

  • Preferred Certification: OSCE3 (Offensive Security Certified Expert 3).

  • Education: A Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

  • Experience: Extensive experience in offensive security, particularly with Mainframe and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Demonstrated ability to discover and mitigate complex security vulnerabilities. Previous experience speaking at security conferences and leading educational sessions.

  • Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep technical expertise in cybersecurity. Ability to work independently and as part of a global team. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
