The Role

The Corporate Archivist will establish Kyndryl’s archives and create and implement strategies to ensure continuing documentation of Kyndryl’s history through appraisal, acquisition, and preservation of select records and artifacts in all formats.

The Corporate Archivist will develop strategic partnerships across business units and actively promote the Corporate Archives within the business to educate, inform and inspire employees on Kyndryl History.

The Corporate Archivist is expected to develop a broad and deep understanding of Kyndryl’s culture and history and serve as an expert resource for customers and peers on the company’s heritage.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage corporate archival systems that includes both digital and physical records

  • Identify and acquire institutional records that document Kyndryl’s key events, strategic imperatives, business functions, service and products, corporate culture, and employee activities

  • Proactively identify and champion ways to integrate Kyndryl Archives content and skills across stakeholders and business units (known as curating Kyndryl History)

  • Act as a trusted source of historical Kyndryl knowledge and ensure that internal- and external-facing historical content is accurate, authentic, and credible

  • Manage department processes and functions, including IT applications, digital asset management systems, and digitization efforts

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $89,030 to $203,000 based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:

  • Command of archival management principles and best practices

  • Prior experience working with business or institutional records, including the development and implementation of standards and practices

  • Project management skills

  • Skill in synthesizing, curating, and communicating historical data for use by internal partners and customers (strong storytelling and communications skills)

  • Knowledge of copyright, usage rights, and privacy rights as applied to archival records and assets in all formats

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Archival Science, Library Science, Information Science, History or equivalent

  • Minimum of 7 years archival experience

  • Knowledge of the information technology industry

  • Expert knowledge of information technology used in archival and business operations – particularly in the tool Preservica

  • Knowledge of techniques for the preservation and management of historical materials to ensure their long-term integrity, including digital imaging

  • Superior writing and presentation management skills

  • Evidence of continuing professional education
