The Role

As a Legal Billing Specialist at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for a wide variety of legal billing activities in support of legal matters including: intellectual property, corporate, regulatory and litigation for Kyndryl’s legal team. More specifically you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing Kyndryl Legal vendor setup, submission of invoices to SAP Ariba and input of proper billing codes, troubleshooting vendor, law firm and payment issues.

  • Provide monthly US spend reporting to Finance and upper management and updates in legal e-billing software tools.

  • Accountable to create, track and manage key performance indicators leveraging existing billing and data reporting tools.

  • Coordinate and assist with global rollout of legal matter and spend tracking system.

  • Working with Kyndryl Accounts Payable to help resolve outstanding issues and reissuance of invoices.

  • Email communications with Legal management team members regarding pending spend and forecasts for future spend; review of pending spend in ebilling system

  • Appropriately reviewing and administering billing codes for Litigation, Non-Litigation and invoices to be paid by other Kyndryl business units, and addressing problems proactively.

  • Coordination of vendor and law firm payment schedules:

  • Updating payment status and ERP numbers in spend tracking spreadsheet.

  • Support Finance on invoice and payment questions.

  • Manage membership for various legal associations for Kyndryl attorneys / staff.

  • Track global HR spend during workforce rebalancing events.

  • Additional short-term projects / requests as they are needed by legal executives.

* This position can be remote based but with preference of having someone located within easy traveling distance to our Rye brook NY office.

If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $56,970 to $129,880 based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for Kyndryl’s Shared Success plan.

Who You Are

To be successful in your role, you will have the following experience and skills:

  • 2+ years working in a corporate environment, preferably with exposure to billing, accounts payable or account analysis

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; tech savvy

  • Experience with SAP systems is a big plus

  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail

  • Effective communicator and ability to collaborate with other teams

  • Ability to work independently and be resourceful

  • Sense of urgency and responsive to questions & inquiries

  • Knowledge of legal terms is a plus
