The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Science Leader to join the data and architecture organization representing the Chief Information Officer (CIO). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading a global team of data scientists and engaging with stakeholders from different parts of the company in delivering data science products. The successful candidate will also provide thought leadership and streamline and standardize processes driving efficiency and consistency across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a global team of data scientists to deliver high-quality data science products.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from different parts of the company to understand their needs and deliver data-driven solutions.

  • Streamline and standardize development processes to drive efficiency and consistency across the team, ensuring that best practices are followed.

  • Communicate complex data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the data science team.

Who You Are

Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in leading a global team of data scientists

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related field

  • Knowledge of modeling tools and programming languages, e.g., Azure ML, Vortex AI AutoML, SageMaker, or Python

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

  • Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

  • Familiarity with MLOps principles and best practices, including model versioning, testing, and deployment, as well as monitoring and maintenance of machine learning models in production

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • PhD Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science or a related field

  • Professional certification, e.g., Open Certified Data Scientist

  • Cloud platform certification, e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate

  • Understanding of social coding and Integrated Development Environments, e.g., GitHub and Visual Studio

  • Experience in at least one domain, e.g., cybersecurity, IT service management, financial services, or health care
